Congratulations to our own Jesse White who is now a freshly-minted Docker Captain!

A whale of a piece of news: our own Jesse White (@Jesse_white) has been promoted to the rank of Docker Captain!

Docker Captains are Docker experts and leaders in their communities who demonstrate a commitment to sharing their Docker knowledge with others. They are nominated by the Docker team based on their “exemplary contributions to and outstanding engagement with the Docker community”.

As well as being a Docker advocate, in 2013 Jesse founded the Docker New York City Meetup, which currently boasts just over 3,000 members.

We’re proud to now have two Docker Captains (of only around 60 globally!) on board with us at Contino (the other being Co-Founder Benjamin Wootton - @benjaminwootton). Ben is also the founder of the Docker London Meetup, which host monthly events for newbies and pros alike, to spread knowledge of the platform.

Now we just need one more, so that we can create a crime-fighting trio of Docker captains that struggle bravely for agility in the enterprise! And wear flashy capes with diverse whale motifs, of course.

Jesse is an Account Principal for Contino and is based in our New York office. Check out the Docker Captain page here.
